Shelter in place, reported shots fired at Norlin Library

CUPD has issued the all clear for Norlin Library. Anyone who left personal property inside Norlin Library should meet CUPD officers at the east side doors of the library to be escorted inside and retrieve their belongings between 8:30 and 11 p.m. this evening. Norlin Library will remain closed for the night and reopen for normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 26. If you are unable to retrieve your belongings tonight, go to the security office located at room M298 on the second floor of Norlin Library during normal business hours tomorrow.

If you are still sheltering in place on Floors 1-3 in Norlin Library, please exit from where you are. There are officers in the hallway who will be directing you out of the building. Floors 4 and 5 have been cleared.

If you are still sheltered on Floors 4 or 5 in Norlin Library, please exit from where you are. There are officers in the hallway who will be directing you out of the building. People sheltering in place on floors 1-3 please remain where you are until the next alert is sent.

A shelter in place remains in Norlin Library while CUPD works to clear the building. The campus will send a final alert after Norlin Library has been cleared.

CUPD is investigating a potential swatting incident at Norlin Library. CUPD has cleared Sewall Hall. The shelter in place has been lifted for all locations on main campus except Norlin Library. A heavy police presence remains in the area and will continue while CUPD investigates.

CUPD is investigating reports of shots fired at Norlin Library. There are no signs of injuries or a suspect at this time. The incident remains under investigation.

A shelter in place for all of main campus remains in effect.

Shelter in place remains in effect for main campus. East Campus is not in a shelter in place at this time.

CUPD and Boulder Police are responding to a call near the Norlin Library on main campus. CUPD is evacuating Norlin Library and Sewall Hall. All other buildings on main campus remain under a shelter in place. There is a heavy police presence in the area.
