CU Safety Alert: Felony Menacing at Marine Court Apartments

CU Boulder Police (CUPD) is investigating a report of felony menacing. The incident occurred at approximately 11:12 p.m. on Tues. Oct. 11, 2022, at 1350 20th St. in the Marine Court Apartments, part of graduate and family housing. 

Police say the suspect attempted to steal a bike and threatened a person when the attempted theft was in progress, saying he had a hammer. The suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid-30s, approximately 5’10”, 180 pounds, with a thin build and brown hair. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie, possibly with a green shirt underneath, and dark colored sweatpants. The suspect was carrying a dark colored backpack.   

The bike was left at the scene, at a bike rack near building B. The bike’s lock appeared to have been destroyed. 

Police are searching for the suspect.
