*CU Alert Test* This is a test of the CU Boulder Alerts emergency notification system. This is only a test. No response or action is required. Be sure you know what to do in an actual emergency situation, and learn about CU Boulder’s three tiers of alerts: https://alerts.colorado.edu/alert-levels-notifications 

Testing of the emergency notification system is required by the Clery Act, a federal law: https://www.colorado.edu/clery/ 

The test will include text and email notifications, as well as notifications across multiple social media platforms.

CU Boulder provides comprehensive safety resources for faculty, staff and students at: https://www.colorado.edu/publicsafety/cu-boulder-safety-resources 

These resources include: 

  • Reporting  – crimes and concerns, including anonymous reporting; maintenance issues 

  • Police – contact information for CU Boulder and City of Boulder police departments 

  • Support – mental health, emotional and psychological needs, discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct, student conduct, support after life events, and dispute resolution

  • Emergency Preparedness – campus hazards and environmental health and safety Prevention – crime prevention and safe transportation 

  • Active Harmer Response – Run, Hide, Fight 

If you think that you should have received an alert and didn’t, or if you need help signing up for the system, please email the Emergency Management team.

If you are no longer affiliated with CU Boulder and would like to be removed from receiving alerts, visit the CU Boulder Office of Emergency Management website and email the team.
