Incident near Folsom Parking Garage Ends in City of Boulder

[7:45 p.m., Feb. 24, 2025] 

Boulder Police has lifted its shelter in place near 40th Street and Table Mesa. There is no longer a threat to the public, however there will be a police presence in the area for the next few hours. Please follow BPD for updates.

[3:47 p.m., Feb. 24, 2025]

The Boulder Police Department (BPD) has issued a mandatory shelter in place order for the area of 40th and Table Mesa due to officers in the area. BPD has activated SWAT to take an armed male into custody. This is connected to the initial emergency alert that CU Boulder issued at 2:40 p.m.

There is no current threat to campus. Please follow BPD for updates.

Shelter in place has been lifted for the stadium area, including the Champion Center and Folsom Garage. Folsom Garage is secure.

CUPD is securing Folsom Parking Garage. If you are in the garage, exit immediately and follow police instructions. Shelter in place remains in effect in the stadium area, including the Champion Center and Folsom Garage. This is a fluid situation, continue to check alerts.colorado.edu for updates.
