CU Emergency Alert: Fire at SEEL contained, building remains closed
CU Boulder Health and Environmental Safety continues to assess fire damage at the Sustainability, Energy and Environment Laboratory (SEEL) located at 4100 Discovery Dr. in Boulder. The building will remain closed until it is deemed safe to enter.
When the building is ready to reopen, CUPD will send a CU Advisory with more information. Please continue to monitor this site for additional updates.
If you work in SEEL, you will receive updated information through a CU Advisory and from Human Resources, Academic Affairs and the SEEL building proctor on when to return to work.

The Boulder Fire Department has left the area. Crews continue to assess damage at SEEL. The building remains closed the rest of the day and until it is deemed safe to enter. Continue to monitor this site for additional updates.

The Boulder Fire Department has cleared the area, and there are no longer hazmat investigators on the scene at SEEL. EHS has control of the building. The building is closed for the day. Avoid the area, and monitor this site for additional updates.

The Sustainability, Energy and Environment Laboratory (SEEL) remains evacuated following a small fire that has been contained. Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and fire officials are on scene. The building has been closed for the rest of the day. Avoid the building until it has been cleared for re-entry and monitor alerts.colorado.edu for additional updates.
