[12:15 p.m. | Tuesday, April 25]

UPDATE:  At approximately 2:30 a.m. two suspects attempted to rob a CU Boulder student in the parking lot of Williams Village. As the victim ran, the suspects fired two shots before fleeing in a white Jeep Cherokee. There were no injuries and the suspects did not acquire any belongings from the victim. There is no ongoing threat to campus and there is no information to suggest the suspects will return.  

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males, between 5’5” and 5’7” tall. Both were wearing black hoodies with black bandanas covering their faces. 

Please note that race, ethnicity, gender, and/or religious affiliations are not considered the basis for suspicion; only behaviors are considered suspicious.    

Anyone with information should call CU Boulder Police Detective Kevin Brough at 303-492-4469 and reference case number 2023-0800.  

A reminder that active CU Boulder student email addresses (@colorado.edu) are automatically registered to receive emails through the CU Boulder Alerts system, and the university encourages students to add mobile phone numbers in order to receive text notifications, as well.

Faculty, staff or affiliates of the CU Boulder community with an @colorado.edu (or cufund.org or cu.edu) email address are also added automatically. Faculty and staff who have phone numbers listed in the “Cellular” and “Cellular 2” fields in your my.cu.edu account will receive text notifications, as well.

Employees who work on campus (such as construction or dining contractors) who are not students, faculty or staff and do not have one of the email domains listed above can work with the CU Boulder Alert administrator to ensure they are in the alert database.
