CU Advisory: report of a stabbing at Scott Carpenter Park

At approximately 3 p.m., the Boulder Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing at Scott Carpenter Park. One person sustained a cut to the forearm. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
BPD is searching for the suspect described as a male in his 50’s with white hair, wearing a white shirt and khaki pants. Anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspect’s location is encouraged to contact BPD at 303-441-3333 and reference case #2605682.
Prevention tips:
- Look out for others and help de-escalate potentially harmful situations.
- Commit to never leaving friends behind, and make a plan before going out for how to reconnect if your group gets separated.
- If you think you are being followed, find someone nearby to ask for help, or try to head to a well-populated, well-lit area and call 911.
- Support individuals who have experienced an assault or other trauma by helping them access resources for support or reporting.
- Report suspicious behavior or circumstances to CUPD by calling the CUPD non-emergency line at 303-492-6666.
