Boulder County Safety Alerts

If you're in Boulder regularly, sign up for city of Boulder alerts to ensure you’re receiving the latest emergency updates as they happen.

The Boulder Office of Disaster Managment distributes emergency alerts for signifcant incidents, including natural diasters, via a system called Everbridge. Community members with Boulder addresses are automatically opted-into the Everbridge system. Those who live outside of Boulder but want to be aware of emergency notifications in the area must sign up for BoCo Alerts. 

The Boulder Police Department posts important safety alerts on social media: @BoulderPolice. CU Boulder Police Department is on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; search for @CUBoulderPolice.


Guardian Mobile Safety App

The Guardian Mobile app is available to all current students, staff and faculty, and provides a new method to get alerts, allow friends and family to watch over you while you are out, and find information regarding crisis support and safety resources.

How to Find Information in an Emergency

In addition to receiving alerts directly to your cellular phone or email, a number of resources are available to keep you informed.

Watch for text alerts in the case of a campus closure or if there is a threat to personal safety.

 

On your mobile device
Receive push notifications on your mobile device and/or tablet with Alertus Recipient App.

 

On your computer
Watch for alert pop-ups on your computer for information regarding campus safety. Download Alertus.

 

On the web
This website is the best online source for detailed campus closures and emergency information and updates.

 

On the phone
Call the campus info line at 303-492-INFO (4636) for recorded information and updates relating to campus alerts.

Check your official university email after an emergency for support and resource information.
